Fall 2021 Racing Accomplishments

Races were back in full swing in fall 2021 – and Team Norris Running embraced it.

Racing shows only a fraction of what Team Norris athletes accomplished. Multiple athletes returned safely from injury. Several continued to run through healthy pregnancies and build back strongly postpartum. Others focused on building up their bases for 2022 races.

Jessica took 40 minutes off her time and broke six hours in her second half Ironman!

Clarke ran a 12-minute PR in the half marathon! 

Michelle race a half marathon and despite having a hard day, she pushed herself and did not quit!

Mark R. ran a 2:13 half marathon at Revel Cottonwood – six minutes faster than his goal time! He also completed multiple marathons and half marathons. 

Marcus C. raced a 1:55 half marathon as a tune-up for Chicago! He ran the marathon in 4:47 which was a PR!

Glenda ran a 5K PR and placed second in her age group! She also raced a half marathon in 3:04 on a hilly course! 

Mark G. ran earned second in his age group in the Long Island half marathon! He also raced a 3:16 at Philly, which was his second marathon – and his first marathon since a stress fracture. 

Marcus A. placed second in his age group in the Fox Valley half marathon! He also raced an off-road 8 miler in 56 minutes! 

Zoe raced her goal pace for the San Francisco 10K!

Aimee raced multiple trail races! 

Richard ran a 3:20 at the Indy Monumental Marathon, earning his first BQ by ten minutes! He also completed the JFK 50 as his first ultra! 

Jill raced her second and third fastest half marathons during marathon training! 

Marcela raced a 10k in 54:22!

Chelsea ran a 10K PR in a marathon relay!

Pete ran a half marathon tune-up and raced the Hartford Marathon in 4:25! He also set a half marathon PR of 1:56!

Rachel raced a marathon PR of 3:32 at St. George! She also set a 5K PR and placed second overall woman! 

Lucien ran his first marathon in 3:59 at the Chester Marathon!

Melissa ran a 5K and multiple half marathons! 

Kristen ran a 4:20 for her first marathon at the LA marathon! 

Miriam S raced a trail 12K! She also raced a half marathon in 1:49!

Eric ran the Chicago Marathon in 4:28!

Stephanie raced the Reims Marathon!

Janelle raced her first trail half marathon after successfully rehabbing her knee! She also raced the Philly Half!

Greg placed third overall in the Hutchinson Island Half Marathon! He also placed top master and 5th overall in a 5K. This all led up to his first marathon, which he ran in 3:23 and nabbed both a BQ and first in his age group! 

Kelly placed 4th in her age group in a 5K! She also raced the Dallas Half in 2:16!

Olena completed the Waterfront virtual race series, with a 5K, 10K, and half marathon in one week! 

Pia had a successful marathon training cycle, even though Covid derailed her racing plans! 

Allie raced the Indy Monumental in 3:50, coming within a few minutes of her PR!

Jen raced the Indy Monumental Half following an injury-free training cycle! 

Lori built back from injury and ran the Indy Monumental half! 

Miriam H. ran a 2:57 in the Philly Half – huge progess from her long runs just a few months ago! 

Liz raced the Philly Half in 2:08 as her first postpartum race!

Laura E. ran a 13-minute marathon PR of 3:39 at Philly! 

Jennifer S. ran a half marathon and then a course PR of 4:29 at Philly Marathon!

Caroline completed her first marathon at Philly! 

Anne placed third in her age group in a Turkey Trot 10K!

Chelsey broke 20 minutes in the 5K and set a PR!

Kimberly raced a strong 10 mile race as a start to her half marathon cycle! She also raced a 10K tune-up race and placed first in her age group! 

Mary raced her first 5K in 21:47, followed by a sub-20 5K (third overall, first woman) a few weeks later! 

Holly ran a strong 5k race with a post-surgery PR!

Betsy W. raced a 10K in 45 minutes!

Amber and Krystal ran a 15K!

Amber ran a 2:16 half marathon in the pouring rain!

Christy ran a sub-4 hour marathon in brutal winds!
