Fall reignites my love of cooking. I spend summer eating the same dishes – salads, tacos, grilled chicken, and burger bowls – because of the heat. I don’t want to spend hours over the stove (or even turn on the oven sometimes) nor do I want to eat a hearty meal such as chili.
The moment the leaves turn colors, I am ready to dive into large bowls of soup, pumpkin treats, and everything and anything squash. Fall produce – squash of all varieties, apples, sweet potatoes, kale, beets, parsnips, pears, and other fruits and vegetables – are my favorite foods for both cooking and eating. Unlike summertime, I want to turn on the oven and bake, or pull out the crockpot for a large batch of soup.
These 20 sweet and savory fall recipes are some of my favorites from the many I’ve shared on this blog over the past three years. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
